My Role: Architectural Designer — addition planning, brand guideline integration, as-built documentation, interior finish coordination, and permit drawings.
Key Scope:
Designed a 162 m² addition comprising a wash bay and express service bay, along with expanded parts storage and reconfigured service areas.
Prepared detailed as-built drawings capturing existing site and building conditions prior to addition work.
Developed interior and exterior upgrade packages aligning with Nissan’s NREDI 2.0 standards for finishes, materials, and branding consistency.
Produced shop drawings for signage and façade elements to ensure accurate implementation of corporate design guidelines.
Delivered complete permit and construction drawing sets, including architectural plans, elevations, and coordination details.
Planning & Code:
Conducted OBC Part 3 review for exits, egress, and fire separations; verified barrier-free compliance for service and customer areas.
Ensured new addition seamlessly integrated with existing building structure and met SB-12 energy efficiency requirements.
Reviewed zoning provisions for setback, coverage, and parking adjustments following site expansion.
Coordination:
Collaborated with structural engineers for slab-on-grade design, overhead door framing, and roof tie-ins.
Worked with mechanical and electrical teams to coordinate trench drains, equipment layouts, lighting, and power/data routing.
Engaged with contractor and signage vendors to finalize finish details and ensure brand standard accuracy during construction.
